EPALE focus: Sports in adult learning
Although widely considered ‘non-learning’ activities, sports can have considerable educational benefits for adult learners. Sports and physical activities lead to long-lasting changes in the brain, directly enhancing intellectual work. They can improve memory, as well as concentration and attention, which directly affects how people learn and retain information. Additionally, regular exercise can alleviate depression and anxiety, which can be particular cause for concern during adult education. Physical activities and exercises can also be used as a teaching method for adults with specific learning needs.

Sports
Uzskatu, ka sportam būtu jābūt katra bērna un pieaugušā cilvēka dzīves sastāvdaļai. Sports ir labākais veids kā var trenēt atmiņu patīkamā veidā, lielisks veids kā atbrīvoties no stresa un sasprindzinājuma. Sportiskās aktivitātes mūsdienās ir ļoti svarīgas gan bērniem, gan pieaugušajiem. Bērniem ir biežas koncentrēšanās problēmas un uzmanības noturības problēmas, savukārt pieaugušie aizvien biežāk cīnās ar nomāktību, stresu, depresiju un izdegšanas sindromu. Sports ir veselīgs veids kā palīdzēt gan bērna, gan pieaugušā cilvēka problēmām. Pēc savas pieredzes varu apgalvot, ka dejošana un deju soļu mācīšanās lieliski trenē atmiņu. Iesaku katram vispirms savu garīgo un fizisko veselību uzlabot ar kādu sporta veidu pirms ķeršanās klāt zālēm vai kādiem citiem sintētiskiem līdzekļiem.
