Ready for a new episode of the EPALE Newscast? Tune in on 8 May at noon, for the latest news in ALE!

What is it about?

May's edition will prepare you for the month highlighting the crucial role of civil society in adult learning and education. This will also be a special episode with a guest of honour: we are interviewing Mr Andris Gobins, member of the European Economic and Social Committee, elected in Group III for civil society. We will be picking his brain on civil society actors' role in reaching the European Year of Skills objectives. All of this, alongside the usual news!

When and where?

As usual, this is coming to you on air on the first Monday of the month - with a catch: since in May the first Monday will be Labour Day, we will exceptionally stream the Newscast on 8 May, always at noon! Can't make it on time? No problem, the EPALE Newscast will remain available for you to watch (and rewatch!) on the platform, ready to keep you updated on the latest news in adult learning and education.

Did you miss the last one? You can watch it and rewatch it here.

Trudno dziś rozumieć obywatelskość bez odniesienia do idei społeczeństwa obywatelskiego wraz z wizją aktywnych, odpowiedzialnych obywateli. Dlatego też nowego newscastu chętnie posłucham!

Why is Economics Taught so Badly at School?

In the ECONOMY FOR LIFE project, we surveyed young Europeans about their level of education in economics, and the results are surprising: the majority admit to having received a very poor education at school and university and wish to improve their level as they feel lost in these subjects.
