European Year of Skills Festival on 9 May

On 7 March 2023, the co-legislators reached political agreement on the European Year of Skills. The Decision will be adopted in May. By promoting ongoing work on skills development, the Year will of Skills provide a unique opportunity to push for a skills revolution in Europe, a push to normalise the upskilling and reskilling of all working-age.
The Festival on 9 May 2023
We will celebrate the start of the Year with a European Year of Skills Festival on 9 May. We are linking up to other events and speakers across Europe to showcase skills-related efforts and highlight the value of skills. We warmly invite you to join this event, encourage members of your network to do so and promote it widely. To confirm your attendance please visit this page.
To achieve real impact, we need a coalition of efforts of all stakeholders and labour market actors. Throughout the Year, there will be opportunities to engage in discussions, to learn from each other and to promote work in the field of skills development across Europe.

How to communicate
The Communication Toolkit for the 2023 European Year of Skills was created to help you prepare your communication activities, events and media relations. When communicating skills related activities on social media, please link them to the Year using the hashtag #EuropeanYearofSkills
