The project “I Sport-Inclusive Sport Project Opposed to Radicalization Tenets” brought together CEIPES, “Malaspina” Juvenile Detention Center, Refugee and Asylum Seekers Centers, as well as CUS Palermo – University Sports Center and the University of Palermo, in a cooperation that has had the main objective of combating the phenomenon of radicalization starting from the most difficult contexts of the Palermo society, promoting the inclusion and enhancement of cultural differences through sport practice.

Looking for partners (Erasmus+KA2): teachers working in prison

We are a team of french teachers working in the Local Unit of Education in the prison of Saint Etienne (50 km from Lyon). This detention centre for adults is actually a remand prison which means that it is subject to a high turnover rate and a relatively short average period of incarceration (6 months). This implies a steady flow of daily entries and exits, which is reflected in all levels of prison life, including the schooling sector.

Silta-Valmennus is a non-profit association established by non-governmental organisations in Tampere, Finland in the year 2001. Silta operates in the Pirkanmaa and Uusimaa regions of Finland.

The primary task of Silta-Valmennus is to increase societal equality, participation and welfare by coaching and helping hard-to-employ people to improve their ability to work and to function, and to find their place in society.

Il premio, giunto quest’anno all’ottava edizione, propone un progetto speciale sul tema della follia in carcere, dal titolo “Collective Writing”.
Per questo progetto sono stati individuati sei autori che si sono distinti nelle precedenti edizioni, a cui è stato chiesto di scrivere, attraverso la loro esperienza, un racconto sul tema individuato per il progetto.

De dag van de lesgevers aan gedetineerden is een initiatief van de Projectgroep ‘pedagogische ondersteuning voor lesgevers aan gedetineerden’ binnen het samenwerkingsverband tussen Vocvo en alle pedagogische begeleidingsdiensten.

Teaching in prison entails teaching in a particular context that you have to know in order to establish its place. The issue of education in prison cannot be broached therefore without paying attention to the particular context in which it is provided. This is what we shall do in an initial point. We will then report and comment on the experiments conducted under  “REINSERT,” a social advancement education project co-funded by the European Social Fund.

EPALE National Support Service issues an electronic magazine each month tied to the thematic focus on EPALE. The magazine contains a selection of most read blogs on the platform translated into Serbian and other articles relevant to adult education in Serbia and Europe.

In accordance with the EPALE monthly focus the magazine in July 2018 dealt with Prison education.

The Flemish (Belgian) project 'Learning Inside Out project (LIO)' is a collaboration between Leerwinkel West-Vlaanderen, the Justice Department and Vocvo (Flemish support center for adult education).  LIO offers guidance and orientation on adult education for inmates in order to increase their chances on reintegration. The service is accessible for the inmates in the prisons of Ypres, Ruiselede and Bruges (West Flanders).The project is supported by the European Social Fund.

La Ligue de l’enseignement is a confederation which gathers around 25,000 associations in 102 local and 22 regional federations with the common aim of training responsible citizens who will fulfill their duties, make full use of their rights and be active in society reinforcing its democratic, humanist and social character. These associations also work collectively against all inequalities in order to discuss and build a fairer and more independent society.

Przyjeżdżamy do Wielkiej Brytanii, by obserwować nauczycieli, uczyć się nowych technik pracy, poznawać system edukacji oraz wszystko, co z nim związane – po to, by przenieść efektywne nowinki na polski grunt. Pięć dni to dużo czasu na obserwację, ale… nie wspomniałem jeszcze, że to nie jest zwyczajna szkoła, i że my również pochodzimy z egzotycznej, jak na nasze warunki, placówki. Szkoła przywięzienna – to ją mam na myśli.

“Basic Andragogical Training for Prison Educators” (project ID number: 2018-1-RS01-KA204-000433) is KA2 project supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union focused on improvement of prison educators competencies needed for adequate work with imprisoned people. Coordinator of the project is Serbian Association of Andragogists (SAA) from Belgrade (Serbia). Partners on the project are Koinè, the voluntary organization from San Felice a Cancello (Italy) and Gebze Public Education Center (GPEC) from Gebze (Turkey).

Pubblicato il volume "La formazione dell'educatore penitenziario minorile 2.0. Nuovi scenari di adultizzazione del sistema" a cura di Marco Brancucci. Il volume è rivolto alla formazione di competenze professionali specifiche per educatori penitenziari minorili e coniuga riflessioni teoriche di pedagogia generale e sociale con le attuali politiche in materia di giustizia minorile.

Dwie terapeutki, Luiza i Anna, z Warsztatu Terapii Zajęciowej przy Zakładzie Karnym w Płocku na jesieni zeszłego roku brały  udział w szkoleniu międzynarodowym w ramach projektu "Edukacja za kratami", współfinansowanego przez Unię Europejską z Programu Erasmus+ Edukacja dorosłych. Organizatorem projektu jest Stowarzyszenie na rzecz edukacji osób wykluczonych społecznie o nazwie "Busola", którego celem jest prowadzenie działań edukacyjnych, kulturalnych i sportowo-rekreacyjnych skierowanych do osób pozbawionych wolności. Szkolenie miało charakter Job Shadowingu – służyło poznawaniu pracy na danym stanowisku poprzez obserwację w angielskim więzieniach HMP Aylesbury oraz HMP Grendon Springhill.

Der Verein ILOT hat es sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die Wiedereingliederung von Menschen zu betreuen, die aus der Gesellschaft ausgestoßen wurden und in großer Not sind. Zu den betreuten Personen zählen auch Menschen, die gerichtlich verurteilt wurden (und entweder aus dem Gefängnis entlassen wurden oder eine Lockerung des Vollzugs erhalten haben). EPALE Frankreich traf sich mit ILOT zu einem Gespräch, um mehr über die eingerichteten Wiedereingliederungsmaßnahmen und insbesondere über die „Qualifizierungs- und Integrationswerkstätten“ zu erfahren. 

ILOT is an association which works for the rehabilitation and reintegration of those rejected by society, and in distress. Among those whom it supports are people with criminal records (released from prison or with suspended sentences). EPALE France is working with ILOT to learn about the steps put in place for their reintegration, particularly the qualification-integration workshops.

Con questo calendario non senza ambizione abbiamo voluto far entrare in un luogo di detenzione, dove ogni forma di bellezza sembra essere bandita, qualcosa che a nostro avviso è in grado di veicolare facilmente emozioni e sentimenti positivi. Noi siamo convinti che attraverso l’arte l’animo umano possa predisporsi verso il recupero della dimensione smarrita, aiutandolo a nobilitarsi o se non altro a mostrargli un ALTROVE dove eventualmente ritrovarsi.

We are, as a network of Spanish and Italian non profit organizations and  schools, interested in joining new partnerships as a partner (intermediary/ hosting). We have completed KA2 and KA1 projects in last years.

o Simulated training enterprise, Entrepreneurship and spirit of initiative

o Orienteering in the work world through company visits, job shadowing and internships

Dallo scorso mese di ottobre è stato dato l’avvio al progetto PICCOLE EVASIONI, mediante cui si intende promuovere in ambito carcerario il gusto della lettura, diffonderne la pratica e condividere alcune esperienze di lettura. Il percorso si articola in una serie di attività, tutte ruotanti attorno al mondo del libro, rivolte agli studenti ristretti della casa circondariale di Lucera (FG), che frequentano i percorsi formali del CPIA 1 FOGGIA.
