PedPilots: Self-Regulated Learning Guide for Teachers

The use of the C-creation method in the development of teaching materials for the PEDPILOT project

Within the WP2 work package of the PEDPILOT project, a particularly innovative and collaborative method, the C-creation (co-creation) method, was used to define the themes and methods of the teaching materials. Our aim was to make the learning materials truly relevant, practice-oriented and tailored to the real needs of the participants.

The C-creation method is based on involving different actors - teachers, students, organisational staff - as equal partners in the development process. We thought together, shared our experiences and used them to develop the themes of the curriculum. This democratic and inclusive approach has allowed the curriculum to reflect not only the professional aspects, but also the personal experiences, fears and aspirations of the people involved.

The joint design process resulted in twelve thematic units, each of which addresses a key issue in the organisation of international pedagogical mobility. The themes include practical organisational issues (accommodation, travel, money management), emotional and mental preparation (emotion regulation, motivation, panic management), and legal and ethical aspects (contracting, liability, conflict management).

The method will be used to create a complex but well-structured curriculum that not only imparts knowledge but also supports teachers and students to participate in international programmes with confidence and preparation. Moreover, the experience of co-creation has itself contributed to the development of competence and engagement of participants.

C-creation was not just a method - it was a true partnership, a space of shared responsibility and learning that defined both the professional quality and the community spirit of the PEDPILOT project
