FLOW in emotions in project KA204 FLOW: FUN, LEARNING, OPPORTUNITIES, WELL-BEING.
Flow in emotions was the main topic of the training course organized in a beatuful Romanian town Oradea organized by ACTA European Center, Romania. The training was focused on emotional awareness and a few practical techniques for better emotional management. It was organized as one of several trainings in Erasmus project KA204 FLOW: Fun, Learning, Opportunities, Well-being.
In the first part of the workshop, we looked into how the human system works, what is emotion, what is the physiological difference between positive and negative emotions, and (re)discovered together how and why breath is the key. In the second part of the training course, we went into different practices that help with the process of better emotional management:
- yoga, which provides a better understanding of the flow within the human system and trains breath-work in different challenges to the system;
- perforMA, a set of practices used in the performers’ training, which helps raise inner and outer awareness, connect the trainees to non-verbal dimensions of interaction and emotional dynamics.
The group also explored the value of holding an emotional diary and the dream’s function to process emotional experiences and bring to awareness subconscious and unconscious processes of the system. Within the same sphere, the group explored the power of the mandala as the living symbol of the self (which is individual and collective): guided by an artist, the group created together a big mandala drawn with chalk on the sidewalk, a very intimate process that created a profound emotional connection within the group, inspiring them to be carried away by the Flow and spontaneously start dancing around and on the mandala, after finishing it.
16 participants from the partner organizations in Spain, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Turkey took part in the mobility organized in Oradea, Romania and really enjoyed it.
