2020 International Day of Education: event at UNESCO Headquarters

In partnership with the Centre for Research and Interdisciplinarity (CRI), UNESCO organises on 24 January 2020 a celebration of the second edition of International Day of Education, a date proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 2018 to honour education and its centrality to human well-being and sustainable development.

In line with the 2020 theme, Learning for people, planet, prosperity and peace, the International Day will examine the many ways learning can empower people, protect the planet, build shared prosperity and foster peace. The Paris celebration will feature talks and discussions with education leaders from around the world, including youth leaders.
