The Way to Work Programme

Empowering Persons with Disabilities Towards Employment

Empowering Persons with Disabilities Towards Employment

At Aġenzija Sapport, we believe that everyone deserves a fair chance to be engaged in meaningful employment and live an independent life. That’s why we are proud to offer the Way to Work Programme – a dynamic and hands-on training course designed to support persons with disabilities as they take confident steps toward entering the workforce.

This six-month programme is tailormade for persons with disabilities aged 16 to 40 years who are ready to gain the skills, confidence, and experience needed to move forward in their employment journey.

What does the programme include?

The Way to Work Programme is not just about listening to the trainer – it’s about learning by doing. Over the course of six months of group training (four days a week), participants take part in workshops, practical sessions, and real-world experiences that strengthen their abilities and understanding of the working world.

Here are some of the key components of the programme:

CV Writing and Job Application Skills – Learn how to build a strong CV and write impactful covering letters tailored to different job opportunities.

Job Search Techniques – Master how to look for jobs effectively, both online and offline.

Bus Training – Gain the confidence to travel independently to and from work.

Financial Management – Learn to manage wages, set a budget, and make smart money decisions.

Time Management – Build habits that help with punctuality, scheduling, and balancing responsibilities.

Throughout the programme, participants get involved in practical sessions that mimic real job tasks. We explore a wide variety of job types like office duties, factory work, cleaning, laundry, and more. This not only helps participants discover what types of roles they might enjoy but also helps them build skills that employers look for.

We also tackle important life and workplace skills such as:

Personal hygiene and presentation

Organisational skills

Workplace communication

Digital literacy (including how to send and respond to emails, attach CVs, and more)

Exposure Through Site Visits

One of the highlights of the Way to Work Programme is the opportunity to visit different companies and organisations. These site visits allow participants (especially those who have never worked before) to experience real workplaces first-hand. It's a great chance to understand what it truly means to be part of the labour market and to envision themselves in a professional setting.

Interview and Pre-Employment Preparation

We place a strong emphasis on helping participants shine during the hiring process. Our sessions include:

How to prepare for an interview

How to dress appropriately and make a good first impression

Common interview questions and how to respond with confidence

Practice interviews to help reduce anxiety and boost readiness

In addition, we guide participants on how they can prepare professional CVs and cover letters, and we impart information on essential digital skills like sending CVs via email and responding to employer messages.

Who is this for?

The Way to Work Programme is open to persons with disabilities aged 16–40 who want to explore work opportunities but may need support to get started. Whether you have never worked before or are looking to boost your confidence and skills, this programme can help you move forward.
