DRLLE participation at the EBSN Conference 2023

The Directorate for Research, Lifelong Learning and Employability (DRLLE) had the pleasure of attending the Annual Conference and General Assembly for the European Basic Skills Network (EBSN), which was held in Pécs, Hungary between Wednesday 14th June and Friday 16th June 2023.
The aim of the Conference was to discuss Basic Skills within the context of the European Year of Skills 2023, as well as to provide attendees with the opportunity to meet and learn from experts in the field of basic skills education. Representatives from NGOs, public service entities, and other organisations were given time and space to share best practices during workshop sessions. One of these sessions was facilitated by Ms Mandy Mifsud, Education Officer for Adult Learning and Head of the Lifelong Learning Unit within DRLLE. Ms Mifsud’s presentation highlighted the Directorate’s ongoing efforts to develop The Malta National Basic Skills Guidelines for Adults, while also providing an overview of the Directorate’s role as a service provider and policymaker in the field of adult learning.
