Thomas Prola holds a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Barcelona (UB). He holds a Master’s degree in Education and Teaching in Virtual Environment. He is also the co-coordinator of the Erasmus + Digital Academy in teaching practice for a seamless transition from pre-service to in-service (DigitalTA) project. Maria Steger has 15 years of teaching and research experience at the University of Regensburg and the University of Munich (LMU) in Germany. She is the scientific coordinator of the Erasmus + project Meta-Scientific Literacies in the (Mis-) Information Age (SciLMi)

Both projects are part of the action “Erasmus+ Teacher Academies” with the objective of offering support to teachers during the beginning of their careers and strengthening their professional development.

Dr. Prola will show the results of the DigitalTA project and the main functions of the virtual platform created for this purpose. This tool emerges as a space where teachers can share with each other their challenges, reflections, resources and best practices.  Maria will share the vision of the Erasmus+ Teacher Academy SciLMi and highlight how it supports teachers to empower students to navigate with confidence in a world increasingly challenged by socio-scientific misinformation.
