Supporting Adult Growth and Empowerment for 55+
Three educational organisations from the EU are concluding the implementation of the Erasmus+ project titled "Supporting Adult Growth and Empowerment for 55+".
Adult education plays a key role in EU societies, where around 20% of adults have not completed secondary education, and many have low skills in writing, arithmetic, or digital competencies. Educational activity declines with age, so lifelong learning has become essential. A crucial aspect of this process is recognising the academic needs of adults, considering their educational and professional backgrounds, current life situation, and available time. Effective educational counselling, especially for older adults, involves supporting them in choosing the right educational paths and making informed educational decisions.
As part of the project, educational institutions from Sweden (B-Creative Association), Poland (Deinde sp. z o. o.), and Cyprus (Aspon Consulting) carried out a number of activities in the field of adult education:
- Two international training workshops for staff were held.
- The knowledge, competencies, and pedagogical skills of staff members from partner institutions were enhanced.
- The partner institutions expanded their offerings in educational counselling for individuals aged 55+.
The partner institutions also developed innovative tools and materials for providing educational counselling to individuals aged 55+:

- GUIDE "Educational Counselling For Adults Aged 55+"
