NEW OPPORTUNITIES AND TRENDS IN ADULT LEARNING WERE PRESENTED AT A CONFERENCE IN SOFIA

New opportunities and trends in adult education and skills development were presented at the conference "Thematic Focuses of EPALE for 2024: Presentation and Best Practices," held today in Sofia.

Experts from the Ministry of Education and Science introduced the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe and its new functionalities, as well as EPALE’s thematic focuses for 2024. Among the discussed topics were the integration of artificial intelligence in adult education and opportunities for skill enhancement for both employed and unemployed individuals. The EAGLE project, which supports adult educators through games and simulations for green skills, and the opportunities provided by the ERASMUS+ program in adult education were also presented.

Representatives from the National Coordination Council for Adult Education, EPALE Ambassadors, including the National REFERNET Coordinator, the Employment Agency, the Institute for Social and Trade Union Research and Training at CITUB, the Human Resource Development Center, and the Business Foundation for Education, took active part in the event.

The conference was held under project 101074847-NSSEPALEBG-ERASMUS-EDU-2022-EPALE-IBA "Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe – National Support Units Bulgaria (EPALE NSS)."
