Master of European Legal Studies - promotion 2019/2021


A two-year postgraduate programme leading to a Master’s degree in European Legal Studies. In 2006, the programme was updated to meet the new academic requirements laid down by the Bologna process, which aims to harmonise graduate and postgraduate studies at EU level. Since 2010, it is offered as a blended learning programme, combining face-to-face lectures, e-Learning sessions and distance learning.
This Master is a truly international study programme offered in partnership with Université de Lorraine in France. Participants who successfully conclude the programme are awarded a French Master degree: Master en études européennes – spécialité Droit de l’union européenne delivered by the University of Lorraine.

1/ to provide an initial background to the fundamental issues underlying the European integration process and;
2/ to offer progressive and increasing specialisation in the vast field of European law, with a view to enabling students to deal with legal questions in a practical way.
The legal focus of the programme is on the broader ambit of European integration, also touching upon different economic and political aspects of the integration process and duly considering their legal and practical implications.
