The e-article presents an overview of the re:GREEN project, a small-scale partnership project funded by the Erasmus Plus programme of the European Union. The project aims to support rural entrepreneurs in Europe by transferring knowledge related to circular and resource-efficient business models as well as digitalization. Through surveys and focus groups, insights on rural entrepreneurship were gathered, revealing challenges faced by rural entrepreneurs, such as limited access to training, language barriers, and marketing difficulties. The project highlights the importance of digital skills for rural entrepreneurs and the need for targeted training programs in areas like digital marketing and communication. Business model cases showcasing sustainable practices in different industries are also presented. The overall goal of the project is to bridge the gap between rural and urban settings, equip rural entrepreneurs with the necessary skills, and promote green responsible entrepreneurship. The project unfolds through various phases, including preparation, development, testing, and outreach, with expected outcomes such as surveys, module development, training activities, and validation events. By fostering sustainable practices and digital literacy, the re:GREEN project aims to strengthen the rural economy and contribute to a greener future.
