"Eu+Map Project Update: Adapting to Digital Learning and Enhancing Migrant Inclusion"

The Eu+Map project continues to make strides in its mission to enhance language education for migrants and promote social inclusion across Europe. As we're excited to announce the finalisation of the EU+Map teacher manual, comprising a methodological guide and upskilling programs for trainers, along with a range of ready-to-use language course prototypes tailored for migrants, emphasising positive experiences, our focus shifts to the implementation phase of the project, where these resources will be put into action to benefit migrant learners across Europe.
Let's remember: What is the Eu+Map Project About?
The co - funded European project, Eu+Map is dedicated to enhancing the teaching abilities of language instructors and providing informal language courses tailored to the needs of socially marginalised migrants. With a dual objective of improving educator competencies and promoting social inclusion, our project aims to create upskilling pathways and foster positive impressions of Europe among migrant communities.
Project Updates:
Digitising Positive Classroom Experiences:
In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, we finished the materials to online format. Our goal is to ensure continuity in education and provide accessible learning opportunities for migrants, even in the face of unprecedented circumstances.
Teacher Upskilling and Manual:
The EU+Map manual, comprising a methodological guide, upskilling programs for trainers, and a range of ready-to-use language course prototypes for migrants focusing on positive experiences, has been finalised through the collective efforts of all partners, along with the successful completion of the upskilling programs.
Story Map Collection:
We are in the process of creating a comprehensive story map that will be added to the EU maps online learning space. This interactive map will showcase positive experiences and insights from migrants across different countries, languages, and topics, fostering a sense of community and shared learning.
Trainer and Learner Sections:
Our learning space will feature dedicated sections for trainers and learners, each offering tailored resources and support. Trainers will have access to training courses and materials in multiple languages, while learners will benefit from blended language courses designed to meet their specific needs.
Piloting with migrants:
CESIE from Italy has completed the piloting phase of the project. ACP in Greece has begun piloting activities, employing methods such as ACC and storytelling. Pistes Solidaires in France, along with Iberika Education Group GmbH in Germany, EHU in Spain, SwIdeas in Sweden, and Clavis in Denmark, are currently finalising the piloting phase of the project.
Looking Ahead:
As we continue to implement our digital initiatives and pilot programs across partner countries, we remain committed to our goal of empowering language learning and promoting social inclusion.
