The European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI) is organising its 21st Biennial Conference from 25 to 29 August 2025 at the University of Graz, Austria.

Preceding this, the Junior Researchers (JURE) 2025 pre-conference will occur on 23 and 24 August 2025.

Conference Theme: Realising Potentials through Education: Shaping the Minds and Brains for the Future

This theme aims to inspire interdisciplinary discussions on how education can unlock individual and societal potential, emphasising the transformative power of education in developing talents and strengths, irrespective of personal backgrounds.

Venue: Graz, Austria

Graz, Austria's second-largest city and capital of the Styria region, is renowned for its well-preserved medieval old town, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

EARLI 2025 will host distinguished keynote speakers, such as:

Registration Details

Registrations will open on 1 February 2025, with an early bird deadline on 1 April 2025.

Membership in EARLI is required to attend the conference.

Conference fees include access to all sessions, coffee breaks, lunches, and the opening reception. Tickets for the conference dinner and afterparty can be purchased separately during registration.

Social Events

In line with EARLI tradition, the conference will feature various social events, including:

  • Opening Reception: A festive start to the conference.
  • Conference Dinner: An opportunity to savour local cuisine and culture at the Novapark Hotel.
  • Afterparty: A lively gathering at the Helmut List Halle to conclude the week.
