Digiskills-Online Learning Platform

Scholars found out numerous challenges for SEN teachers in the field that include their adaptability to adopting new methods and tools, their ICT skills, obstacles on professional development pathways, and access to innovative approaches. Given the challenges above, along with the recent negative effects on education and accessibility of children with SEN to online learning in the COVID-19 era, the main pillars of the “Digi-Skills SEN” Project are designed as follows: 

- Increase SEN teachers’ professional and personal competencies in ICT, 

- Leverage the understanding of better and authentic approaches and methodologies for ICT use in education,

- Improve ICT tools and methodology use of SEN teachers, 

- Boost the digital competencies of SEN teachers and increase their strategic use of ICT and Open Educational Resources as a way to achieve professional development and deliver higher quality and authentic education for children with SEN.

We would like to take a broad look at the third work package of the project:

Work Package No. 3

 - Online Learning Platform 

1. The Curriculum of digital resources and learning outcomes 

2. Learning content with visual instructions and tips

3. Exercises with images (flashcards) 

4. Worksheets 

5.  Technical Webinars with Experts 

5.1- How to prepare engaging videos and infographics for SEN, 

5.2- How to prepare podcasts and make use of professional development blogs in SEN, 

5.3- How to benefit from Wikis and create engaging presentations for SEN,

 5.4- How to create participatory spaces for students and create digital portfolios for SEN, 

5.5- How to create online quizzes and what to know about data protection – 

-Minutes and feedback reports from advisory board meetings 

- Info-graphic and paper brochure

The abovementioned activities are in direct relation to the project objectives. In that regard, conducting technical webinars is a crucial component and reflects the educational nature of the project.
