CERME11 - 11th Congress of the European Society for Research in Mathematics Education

The 11th Congress of the European Society for Research in Mathematics Education (CERME11), hosted by the Freudenthal Group in collaboration with the Freudenthal Institute of Utrecht University will take place in Utrecht, the Netherlands on 6 – 10 February 2019.
Besides the plenary lectures conference participants will be able to attend Thematic Working Group sessions, poster viewing hours and social events. Amongst the 26 Thematic Working Goups (TWG) TWG No. 7. will focus on Adult Mathematics Education.
Organisers have now announced a call for empirical, theoretical, methodological, and developmental papers and poster proposals. Submissions of eight-page papers or two-page poster proposals due at 15th September 2018! The topics to be addressed in this TWG will include, mathematics for the reflective citizen (e.g., mathematical literacy), mathematics in and for work (e.g., technological literacies), mathematics and societal effects (e.g., critical mathematics, PIAAC research), teaching and learning mathematics with adult learners (curriculum, pedagogies, didactics) and good practices in adult mathematics education and lifelong learning. Therefore, this working group welcomes research papers on adults learning mathematics as seen from various international and theoretical perspectives using a variety of methodological frameworks in diverse contexts.
