Promoting peace culture, preventing violence and improving school coexistence have come out as some of the main goals of the Andalusian educational system. To achieve these goals, The Board of Education and Sports have used different means and tools, such as the Coexistence Platform, Educational Plans and Programs and the celebration of the Peace and Non-violence Day.

Lazareto and Esteros Adult Centers along with other adult schools and sections were in charge of developing the whole program of activities amongst which the reading of poetry conducted by the Association of “Poets for Peace in Huelva” proved of great relevance and repercussion. Along with this key activity there were many other varied ones organized by students.
