On the occasion of the Europe Day on 9 May and the European Elections in June 2024, the National Library of Greece (NLG) organized the following activities to celebrate Europe in its own way:
a. The Lending Collection Dpt of the NLG presented selected books from its rich collection in a thematic book display with the title: “Europe as a heritage of questions”
The books posed questions and attempt to provide answers through philosophy, language, science, art, social sciences, history and literature, around Europe, thus enriching and deepening the idea of Europe through targeted reading.
b. As a parallel action ,the NLG is running 2 CV writing workshops according to the European standards in June 2024. The workshops are addressed to adults and will take place in the computer lab of the second floor of the National Library of Greece at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre in Athens.
Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their CV writing skills, learn about the artificial intelligence application (ChatGPT) and its use in CV writing and broaden their horizons in terms of seeking employment opportunities in EU countries.
The workshops support the objectives of the National Library of Greece (NLG) in adult education, through the development of search and information management skills for its users and are is in line with the NLG's participation in European institutions and programmes.
