The ALL4-3D project successfully carried out the Short Term Staff Training, hosted by the project partner Emphasys Centre in Cyprus.

The ALL4-3D project carried out the Short Term Staff Training on the 3rd and 4th of April, hosted by project partner Emphasys Centre in Cyprus.

Consortium:

CPU Reuse

Day 1

The first day consisted of a short presentation of each organization as well as an overview of the 1st module of the Competence Framework, which includes the following topics:

  • Introduction to 3D printing

  • Introduction to TinkerCAD

  • Working on 3D Design & 3D Printing

Lead partner CPU presented the first topic, touching on the basics of 3D printing, which was followed by the 2nd topic, presented by Emphasys Centre, focused on the platform TinkerCAD. After this presentation, each participant created their own 3D design in TinkerCAD, exploring its easy-to-learn interface, which is ideal for beginners and anyone new to 3D design. All participants found it easy to use and agreed that this is an accessible tool for creating 3D designs.

This task was followed by the topic of 3D Design & 3D Printing, presented by project partner SLOKVA, closing out the first day.

Day 2

Thursday began with testimonials from members of each organization, sharing the work done within the project so far, highlighting the importance of upskilling of people with disabilities through 3D technologies. Afterwards, we continued with the second module of the Competence Framework, which includes the following topics:

  • Entrepreneurship competences

  • Digital competence

  • Social competences

Reuse Centre presented the topic of entrepreneurial competences, focusing on the link between 3D modeling, design, and printing and entrepreneurial skills. The topic of social competence followed, which was presented by project partner SLOKVA, with a focus on the importance of social competence in every aspect of life. Lastly, the topic of digital competences was discussed, which was followed by each participant registering on the  ALL4-3D platform and completing a course on the topics presented in each of the two modules and receiving a badge, meaning the course was successfully completed.

Through this meeting, we strengthened ties in the world of 3D technologies to increase the use in the professions of the future, especially for young people with disabilities.
