RELICA - Art-Based language learning

RELICA Background Research to implement Art-based practices in language training for migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.

RELICA (Recycling Skills to Improve Literacy, Language and Communication Competences through Artistic and Digital Creation) is an innovative Erasmus+ project that combines art and digital creativity to improve language learning. We develop alternative teaching methods specifically designed for adult learners who face challenges in accessing conventional language courses.

Our project primarily supports adults with migrant and refugee backgrounds, as well as those with interrupted education who need different approaches to learning. We also provide resources and training for educators and organizations working with these vulnerable groups.

What makes RELICA unique is our creative approach to language learning. Through art-based activities and digital tools, learners can improve their language skills in a relaxed, confidence-building environment. Our methods build on participants’ existing skills and cultural experiences, while simultaneously developing essential digital, social, and creative competencies. This comprehensive approach helps learners become more independent in their daily communication and better integrated into their local communities.

Whether you’re a potential learner or an educator, RELICA offers innovative resources to make language learning more accessible and engaging.
