MailArt4 Seniors Erasmus Project

Fights isolation with Mailart.

MailArt4Seniors- Erasmus Project

The MailArt4Seniors project is based on building an innovative non-formal training program for adult educators (social workers involved with the elderly, professionals working in nursing homes, geriatric psychologists, geriatric nurses, artists offering workshops to the elderly) to help the elderly deal with isolation and loneliness, ensure their personal well-being, maintain their social life, and enjoy a quality daily life during the pandemic and post pandemic through mail art activities.

Mail art was a means of combating isolation in senior people at the time of the pandemic and also in current times. Especially seniors who intensely experience social estrangement will be given the opportunity through mail art as a safe mode of community creativity, to express and share - with their relatives, friends and colleagues - feelings, thoughts, emotions and ideas in an artistic, imaginative, motivating and above all safe way, for their health, because distance will be maintained, but loneliness and isolation are combated.

This project coordinated by the partner from Lithuania, has other European partners including Italy, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus and Finland. In this project there have already been 2 TPM and 2 LTTA, which resulted in a successful partnership.

Erasmus project.
