I think these are central aspects when developing learning opportunities (and I'm deliberately not saying materials). Especially the question: who is the learner?

As the saying goes: Energy flows, where attention goes.

Are we, as individuals and as a society, equipped to embrace new patterns, see and sense ourselves... and cope with disruption?

Thank you EPALE for connecting people and build a more welcoming and friendly world, first and foremost for, as well as with, people living in poverty, loneliness and imprisonment.

How to go beyond labels such as vulnerable people? As Silvie said, we all are human, talented individuals. All these stories are very inspiring and connected. What impressed you the most about the other stories?

It is difficult in the present European Union to reduce the barriers resulting from thinking based on stereotypes, almost "medieval" what should we do to make it easier to reach adults and teach them a different view of what surrounds us

The lack of education makes social re-adaptation more difficult and it can also contribute to recidivism. Acquired qualifications and professional competences reinforce economic independence of convicts. What are the current needs of education in prison to prevent social exclusion and to increase chances for successful social re-adaptation?

Jācenšas mudināt pieaugušos mācīties nepārtraukti, jo tas nodrošina gan garīgās veselības noturību, gan jaunas prasmes un pieredzi. Jaunas zināšanas ir ļoti noderīgas šajā pandēmijas  periodā, jo tas palīdz filtrēt saņemto informāciju un palīdz rast izejas situācijās, kuras nākas pārvarēt gan darbā, gan personiskajā dzīvē!

EN Translation:

Efforts should be made to encourage adult learning on an ongoing basis, as this provides both mental health sustainability and new skills and experiences. New knowledge is very useful in this pandemic period, because it helps to filter the information received and helps to find a way out of situations that have to be overcome both at work and in personal life!

Adult upskilling and reskilling are very much needed after the Covid-19 pandemic, and they require joint efforts. Very nice to have this global perspective.

Good morning, I think one of the main problems with the commitment not to leave anyone behind isthat people with few skills and poorly educated often do not even know the existence of adult education, they do not come into contact with the possibilities offered.

Thank you

Non traditional academic learning is conquering more and more space, as Mr. Schleicher said. The labour market is constantly changing shape… are employers ready to recognize such learning activities?

We are very proud of the Community Stories initiative!

This is an opportunity to collect stories of adult education activities with respect to the EPALE 2021 Thematic Focuses… and this year we award participants with an EPALE branded ethical gift.  In the comment section you can find the link to their stories.
Hurry up, the call is open until 29 October!

This Conference also hosts some of the participants who shared their experience through the initiative.

Do not miss out their stories!

EPALE wants to hear from you!

We have prepared a survey to know better what are your habits and experiences using EPALE and your suggestions to help us improve. The survey also includes a section with specific questions on this conference.

It’s a short series of questions, which should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete and it will be available until 2 November

The survey at the moment is available in English, but it will be soon translated into all EPALE languages.

Here it is!
