Adult Learners' Forum in Malta

The Directorate for Research, Lifelong Learning and Employability within the Ministry for Education and Employment in Malta is organising an Adult Learners' Forum as part of the EU Agenda for Adult Learning project. The event will focus on the experience of various adult learners and the policy work by the EU Agenda for Adult Learning project especially on the Schools as Community Learning Spaces. 

The Adult Learners' Forum will be held on 5 Decemeber 2019 from 16:00 - 19:00hrs at the Undercroft, Old Theatre Street, Valletta.

 

Searching partners for KA2 project in social and cultural sustainability

Citizens` Forum (Kansalaisfoorumi) is a Finnish non-formal adult education organization working together with culture-oriented associations. We are searching for partners to build an Erasmus+ strategic partnership (KA2) with the theme “Education as a Constructor of Social and Cultural Sustainability". The idea of the project has been developed in cooperation with the University of Eastern Finland which will be one of the partners.  

Vedle dětí jsou lidé v důchodovém věku další skupinou, která je ohrožena nedostatečnou znalostí finančních produktů a jejich používání. Podle České správy sociálního zabezpečení počet lidí v důchodovém věku s exekucí překročil letos hranici 90 tisíc osob.

Ils offrent la possibilité de nourrir une analyse critique sur la notion de « tiers » comme celle de « lieu » dans un rapport à l’économie, au territoire, au travail, à la gouvernance. Ils facilitent un croisement et une diffusion des savoirs à partir d’une pratique des espaces en imaginant d’autres scénarios de développement que nous pourrons mettre en discussion autour de la dimension « populaire » (centralité populaire, économie populaire, éducation populaire).

Westminster Education Forum - Improving provision for care leavers - implementing the Care Leaver Covenant and local offers, and the transition into further education and employment

The Westminster Education Forum will be holding the policy conference on ‘improving provision for care leavers’ in London on Thursday 9th January 2020. The main aims of the event are to consider appropriate steps for improving provision for care leavers, introduce the Care Leaver Covenant, consider the implementation of local offers and funding opportunities, and to inspect the standard of existing support for care leavers. Tickets are priced at £230+VAT.

Jen během 1 minuty bylo na světě napsáno 168 milionů e-mailů, bylo spuštěno 700 000 vyhledávání na serveru Google a bylo nahráno 60 hodin videí YouTube, nemluvě o všech spamech, bannerových reklamách, příspěvcích na Facebooku, množství tweetů… Bylo spočítáno, že před úsvitem civilizace obsahovala planeta 5 exabytů informací. Dnes vyprodukujeme toto množství za pouhé dva dny!

Citizens' Curriculum workshop

Workshop 5 focused on research and innovative practice to support upskilling and earnings progression, highlighting the powerful benefits that adult learning can confer. To realise those benefits, particularly for disadvantaged groups, providers and learners need flexibility. Orienting funding and quality assurance systems towards the outcomes of provision, rather than just its inputs and outputs, might help allow that flexibility.

The Liberal Democrats have discussed plans to create a special learning budget for each individual adult.

Delegates listen to a keynote speaker

On 23 October 2019, EPALE UK and the Learning & Work Institute (European Agenda for Adult Learning) held a joint conference in London. I attended the workshop which presented the experience of Belfast in becoming a UNESCO Learning City with a specific focus on tackling inequalities, especially around health and wellbeing. Core to the work and future development is connectivity – linking globally, locally and across sectors/disciplines. This point was taken up by the second speaker who looked at the development needs of the adult learning workforce and how these should be linked to those of related disciplines.

Un viaggio dentro la comunità esperantista. Un viaggio dentro e un altro fuori, per capire non solo chi sono i giovani esperantisti ma anche cosa può dare il movimento e la lingua esperantista al resto del mondo. Durante l'ultima tappa del progetto Learn, Create, Share!, tappa che si è tenuta a Bodegraven, nei Paesi Bassi, dall'1 al 3 novembre in contemporanea con il convegno esperantista post estate, si è discusso sull'impiego dei nuovi media per la comunicazione delle attività del movimento e degli ideali esperantisti. 
The Cross Borders project team

The Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnership Cross Borders Project has come to a close and now is the time to celebrate all the wonderful achievements of a project that places the experiences of refugees and migrants, and their education providers at its heart! The project has overseen the development and production of a range of educational resources, case studies, informative videos and reports, the links to which are provided in the blog post.

Seona Anderson discusses an Erasmus+ project that aims to increase agroforestry in Scotland - an approach to agriculture that combines forestry and farming and provides organic food that supports the ecosystem and encourages a responsible approach to climate change control. The project took the team to dehesas outside of Europe and enabled adult learners to build skills that could then be put to use on agoforestry initiatives in Scotland.

A gazdasági folyamatok napjainkban túlmutatnak a szervezeti határokon, hálózatokban zajlanak, így a tanulás kérdéskörét is érdemes ebben a tágabb kontextusban vizsgálni. A tanulás témakörében született tanulmányok javarészt a szervezeteken belüli, illetve a szervezetek közötti tudásátadásra koncentrálnak, a hálózati tanulás kevésbé kutatott terület. Eme szakirodalmi összefoglaló olyan hazai és nemzetközi kutatásokat vizsgál az utóbbi évekből, amelyek nemcsak szervezeti, hanem szervezetközi és hálózati szinten is elemezték a tanulás jelenségét.

The 2020 Conference will be held on 8th – 10th, May, 2020, in Belgrade, Serbia. The conference will include, workshops and poster presentations encompassing ways of enriching teaching and learning.

The aim of the Adult Educators’ Unconference is to promote the debating culture in the community of adult education and to bring the topics relevant for the community into focus, in order to find solutions to them together.

South Inner City Adult Education Service: Free Community Development CPD Programme

The South Inner City Adult Education Service is putting on a free community development CPD programme. The QQI Level 5 Working with Groups course aims to develop the facilitation skills for community or youth workers. It is also open to any employee who is interested in developing their knowledge about working with groups in a community setting.

The Working with Groups course will take place on 22nd -23rd October, 14th - 15th November and 28th - 29th November in Dublin 8 Community Education Centre, Synge Street, Dublin 8.

C’est un sujet qui passionne Denis CRISTOL, Directeur de l'ingénierie et des dispositifs de formation du CNFPT, chercheur associé à Paris Ouest Nanterre, expert des questions d’innovation pédagogique.  D’abord parce que la notion d’apprenance qu’il développe et met en œuvre s’intéresse à toutes les conditions facilitant l’acte d’apprendre. Et aussi parce que le lieu est un indicateur pertinent et éclairant des conceptions de la formation et de l’apprentissage. Si, finalement nos salles de formation et nos amphithéâtres ont peu évolué depuis le moyen-âge, cela doit peut-être avoir une signification, nous dit-il en préambule.
