Adopted on 13 December 2012, LAW NO. 04/L-143 ON ADULTS EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE REPUBLIC OF KOSOVO governs the education and training of adults as an integral part of the education system in the Republic of Kosovo. Through its 22 articles, the law regulates key aspects such as the definitions of relevant terms, the responsibilities of institutions involved, the establishment and accreditation of education providers, and the organization of adult learning programs.

It further outlines the criteria for participation, the development of working and strategic plans, the structure of programs and qualifications, as well as mechanisms for program assessment, publication, and access. The law aims to ensure quality, inclusiveness, and alignment with the labor market, promoting lifelong learning and professional development for adult citizens across Kosovo.
