The Ethics of Sustainability is a free downloadable textbook that is very useful for Adult Educators that specialise in Enviromental Education (EE) and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Values and Ethics are a core component in EE and ESD, in that they provide a framework for critical reflection beyond the economic determinism often associated with mainstream sustainable development policies. As the textbook itself concludes: "Professionals, as citizens, family members, and consumers, can reinforce the values of sustainability on multiple fronts, by first educating themselves about the choices that will make a difference and then seeking changes – personal and structural – that can enable those choices to take root (p. 264)."
