E-learning course: Food Regulation in the European Union

One of the most important priorities in the European Union is to ensure food safety and protection of consumer’s rights. Food law, to cover new social needs and situations that arise because of changing reality, is constantly updated.
The Erasmus+ project TRIFLIM through the creation of the grounds of an e-learning course, a good quality training in food law providing knowledge acquisition in the European Union, attends to the need of professional development for technicians and professionals from the agri-food sector and related industries.
This innovative e-learning programme about European Union food law provides the acquisition of knowledge and the specialisation in food law supporting opportunities in acquiring and developing key competences to foster employability and socio-educational and personal development.
The educational materials contribute to create an innovative learning approach on food legislation, based on precise market demand, enhancing the links to business and the community.
The online course is divided in seven modules, where you can explore the following themes:
- Introduction to food law;
- Food law;
- Food safety;
- Food information and labelling;
- Food composition;
- Materials in contact with foods;
- Specific regulation.
The e-learning course is free and open access on the TRIFLIM platform (https://food-regulation.eu/) and each trainee can explore the materials in their own pace.
