Common-Good Project InfoKit / Methodology, tips and resources for cultural heritage preservation and promotion

ABOUT THE COMMON-GOOD PROJECT
From the reflection of the needs and challenges of the rural sector, it is possible to find a difficulty that crosses these challenges: rural desertification. In this sense, the exodus of the rural population to cities not only means that there are fewer people living in these sectors, but it has also caused a constant loss of local cultural heritage. In this way, the "Common-Good" project emerged as a way of responding to these needs, developing dynamics that reinforce the common goods that make up the local community and, consequently, that involve the voice of the population regarding the preservation and promotion of their memories and cultures. The project was developed by the associations Casa d'Abóbora (Portugal), Super Tineri ASYRIS (Romenia) and ID20 (Slovenia).
The Common-Good project consisted of two activities:
1. Mapping of individuals or sites that still preserve local cultural heritage.
2. Open workshops for the community on cultural heritage, conducted by cultural actors (craftsmanship, gastronomy, preservation sites, traditional music, etc.).
Thus, two main products were generated:
1. A digital map of local actors who preserve or engage in activities related to cultural heritage.
2. Interview videos with cultural actors.
In this regard, the present infokit, available in four languages, provides information on how to conduct a project of this nature, including the methodology used in each stage, tips on efficient execution, access to links for free tools, and tutorial videos.
