Solidaridad Intergeneracional is an NGO representative of the elder people group.

It is a Spanish non-profit association with state implantation, whose main mission is to contribute to the improvement of the life quality of the elderly and their family caregivers, on the one hand, promoting healthy and participatory aging and a new vision of the diversity of old age and, on the other hand, favoring and providing information, advicing and social intervention services in situations of need for long-term care, vulnerability, disability, loneliness, etc.

Our clear intention and commitment is to promote care, non-discrimination and proximity and home care centered on the person to achieve permanence in the accessible home and in friendly environments of the rural environment.

We want an inclusive, participatory, fun, responsible and rights-based old age. We fight against ageism, violence and mistreatment, invisibilization, abandonment or any type of discrimination, and we do not accept gender, nor digital, nor rural, nor economic gaps.

Main targets:

• Increase the well-being and quality of life of the elderly, promoting healthy and active aging, anticipation in decisions, and attention to long-term care.
• Intervene to enable the permanence in the home of people with disabilities, or dependency who need care and services, in dignified conditions and with the same quality parameters, with comprehensive care focused on the person, seeking their full social integration.
• Promote healthy, active and participatory aging among the aging population, generating good habits and lifestyle that favor personal autonomy and social significance.
• Revalue old age through their contributions, ideals, demands and active participation in society.
• Provide information and promote human, professional, technical, cultural and social training of rural elderly people and their family caregivers by carrying out personalized activities or projects.
• Bring training for the use of technology, and especially information and communication technology (ICT) to adult and elderly inhabitants in order to avoid isolation, insecurity, loneliness, favoring access to existing digital resources and electronic administration, and telemedicine, etc.
• Support with substitution and family respite services to the main caregivers of people with long-term care.
• Promote innovative systems for the provision of social services, as well as new forms of coexistence, care and accompaniment of the elderly, taking into account their specific characteristics: dispersion, isolation, lack of infrastructure and services, poverty, depopulation, social exclusion...
• Promote the labor incorporation of women through innovation and the generation of services related to active aging and its management, as well as the care and attention to people with care needs inside and outside their homes: disability, dependence and others.

We would like to find an applicant organization or partner organizations to work in the field of social inclusion, training and development of social skills, elderly people, disability, adult education, long-term care residing at home, disability, adult education, continuing professional training, etc. We are interested in projects targeting the following groups: elderly and/or disabled and/or dependent people in home, family caregivers and the trainers who support them, families, women, human rights, innovative services, technology to live well, etc.

Intergenerational Solidarity develops various programs of social interest, some throughout the Spanish territory and others of smaller scope, in different regions or specific areas. We seek to do the same with European programmes such as Erasmus+ and its predecessors. We are very interested in collaborating in the development of future project proposals and, especially, if they are aimed at the rural environment.
