About Us

FACEPA (Federation of Cultural and Educational Associations for Adults) is a non-profit organization dedicated to adult education with the following objectives: reducing social inequalities, promoting active citizenship, and fostering solidarity among individuals and groups. We champion the universal right to education and operate in alignment with the Participant’s Bill of Rights. This document, created by adult education participants, highlights the transformative power of education in overcoming social disparities. It has been endorsed by various associations and educational centers at national, European, and international levels.

We advocate for an educational and social-democratic model where participants in adult education have the right to actively shape their own learning and training processes. This participatory approach extends beyond educational institutions, driving broader social transformation and positively impacting lives and communities.

Our Value as Project Partners

FACEPA has extensive experience as both project partners and coordinators in European initiatives. We have successfully led or contributed to projects such as MotiAction, DesinfoEND, PromoCITI, Dialogical Mind, DigiUp (recognized as a good practice), EduFin, ScienceLit, and FinanceGo!.

Our federation is composed of 14 associations, focusing on groups at risk of social exclusion, including women, immigrants, the elderly, and young people without formal qualifications. Our structure and participatory methodology enable us to engage directly with diverse and vulnerable populations, facilitating meaningful activities and outcomes.

We bring expertise in participatory processes, co-creation, communicative methodology, and a commitment to advancing a democratic model within adult education.
