Crayfish  Producing  

Crayfish, which is known as "Turkish Crayfish" in Europe and which has economic prescription in the world, is obtained by hunting in our country. There are 11 ponds suitable for the production of crayfish in Mersin province. Our personels do not have technical and practical knowledge about crayfish producing. Our project objective is to promote and disseminate the existing methods applied in Europe for the production, processing, packaging and marketing of crayfish production in the scope of the European Union (EU) Common Fisheries Policy.

            Within the scope of the project, we have formed a concercuium with Mersin Directorate of Provincial Food Agriculture and Livestock and 2 Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools located in Mersin. Our concercuium is looking for partners regarding training and implementation about the production, processing, packaging or marketing of crayfish in the countries of Spain, Sweden and the Czech Republic.
