Technical University of Kosice

Technical University of Košice (TUKE) is a public college covering a wide range of educational needs not just for the East Slovak region but in many fields it is the only science, research and education center not only in Slovakia but also in the Central European area.
It has nine faculties:
Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies
Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics
Faculty of Civil Engineering
Faculty of Economics
Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies
Faculty of Arts
Faculty of Aeronautics
TUKE also has all-university institutes, e.g. Department of Languages, Department of Social Sciences, etc.
Currently, about 10.000 daily and external students attend the University.
TUKE caters for a wide range of educational needs not only in the East-Slovak region, but throughout Slovakia and Central Europe, as in many specializations it is the only centre of education and research in this area. TUKE closely co-operates with other universities and with industrial organizations throughout the region and the Slovak Republic.
In recent years there has been considerable increase in demand fromforeign students to study, whereby TUKE has been established on international scale as a distinguished education institution. We have students from forty countries of the world.
