MUNİCİPALİTY

In Adıyaman Municipality; As per the duties and responsibilities of the Law No. 5393, articles 14 -15 and other legislation, depending on the Mayor, the main functions of the municipality are performed with 5 deputy mayors determined in accordance with the permanent stuff(norm stuffing) regulation and 25 unit directorates created within the municipality. Our institution has 9 service buildings and 10 social and cultural buildings.
Duties of the institution:
- Developing and implementing Smart City applications
- Taking measures for urban transportation and security, using information technologies for this purpose
- To plan and conduct activities to contribute to the development of Adıyaman in the field of culture, art and social and to make it a center of attraction.
- To organize sports, music and cultural activities for children and youth.
- Enabling and expanding services for disadvantaged groups
- Organizing vocational trainings and sports activities for the disabled
- To ensure the development of Culture and Tourism
- To make Adıyaman a center of attraction in terms of culture and tourism, to plan and implement physical investments in order to create a planned, organized, clean and livable modern city in accordance with the cultural and historical texture.
- Ensuring citizen participation by organizing concerts, theaters, festivals
- We have important historical and cultural monuments in Adıyaman province and these are magnificent tourist attractions. Especially Mount Nemrut is the most important because it was registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987 and was given a Golden Apple by Fijet in 2003.
- To work for the promotion of Adıyaman
- To open courses to meet the vocational training needs of our city effectively, to organize social activities for trainees.
- Organizing vocational training and personal development practices for women
- Providing employment oriented studies
- Including Decision Mechanisms and local advocates in policies
- To ensure the participation of citizens and employees in decisions and practices.
- To prepare projects for the development of organic agriculture and to support the projects prepared.
- Developing Local Development work programs
- To support the weak people on social issues
- Protecting the values and rights of the city and its citizens
- To make Adıyaman an internationally respected and respected city and to enable our municipality to benefit from international projects.
