Kutaisi University is a relatively young academic institution with only 28 years of history. Through the years the University has identified economics and business-related disciplines ( including Tourism ) as its priorities. Though Law and Medicine faculties will be active and accredited soon. At present there are more than 300 students in our university. Student enrollment continues to grow every year. KU has authorization (2018-2025) and all study programs are accredited. The only faculty of Social Sciences of KU provides educational programs at all three (Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD) levels. KU strives to create the best possible environment for ensuring quality of education. Our professors are provided with excellent conditions for academic and research work. 

KU sees its mission not only in preparing highly-qualified competitive specialists in the fields of Business and Economics to meet the demands of the dynamic labor market but also in meeting public demand for educational and consultancy services, carrying out social and economic research of regional as well as national scope.

Since 2006 KU has been publishing an international peer-reviewed scientific and practical journal “Economic Profile”. We regularly organize international scientific conferences and fund intra-university research projects and publication of monographs.
