IES Nosa Señora dos Ollos Grandes is a Spanish high school located in the North-West of Spain, whose students range from 12 to 25
years old. We teach general education and also professional trainning in sports and leisure monitoring and athletism trainer. Our
institution is located in the city of Lugo, a medium size town, and althoug most of the students come from middle class families, a
bit proportion of them live in some suburban and rural areas and have some economic difficulties to achieve a higher level education
and to travel abroad.
IES Nosa Señora dos Ollos Grandes is one of the oldest high school in town, with a lot of experience in international projects. Beside
the European projects referred below, we are developing a long term partnership with the Swedish high school Tibble Fristaende
Gymnasium (www.tibble.nu)
Our town belongs to one of the least developed areas in our country, characterized by a higher unemployment rate and a low
number of enterprises. The rate of business creation is also one of the lowest in the area, despite all the efforts made by the
Administration to foster entrepreneurship.
