Hjo folkhögskola

Hjo folkhögskola is an independent folk high school and adult education provider in Sweden. It is one of Sweden's largest boarding folk high schools and is located in the south western part of Sweden in the beautiful town Hjo by lake Vättern.
Hjo folkhögskola provides education in a broad spectrum of fields where courses and education in traditional art, digital art and music meet general courses to gain high school diploma. Each year we welcome between 300 - 350 students, both on site and through digital courses. Many students also live at our school, meaning the students both study and live together. Our folk high schools therefore offer an intimate learning environment where participants can develop their social skills along with their vocational skills and knowledge. There are many reasons to attend Hjo folkhögskola. For some participants it is a way to get back to studying and gain necessary knowledge to move forward to other forms of education. For other students it might be the first real interaction with our society. The educational form in general, and our school in particular also focus on presenting opportunities to students with fewer opportunities in life.
We are looking for corporations and potential partnerships with other adult education providers in Europe. We are interested in mobility activities and exchanges for students, teachers and non-teaching staff.
