FORTES is an Italian non-profit organisation, established in Vicenza in 2002, specialized in the organisation and management of educational programmes and work experiences for students, trainees, professionals and teaching staff. The aim of FORTES is to act in the fields of education, vocational guidance and training to prevent factors of disease and marginalization and to promote social, cultural and professional integration. The large transnational network created over the years is one of the strengths of FORTES Impresa Sociale SRL. At local level, FORTES works closely with high schools, Higher Technical Institutes, local authorities, associations and a large number of companies, profit and non-profit organizations which operate in wide sectors of economy and society. Abroad, FORTES maintains and develops relationships with educational institutions and consulting firms that share the same care for training and international mobility of people. FORTES is also part of the ECVET and EUROPEMOBILITY networks. FORTES develops programmes on Work-Based Learning. For mid- and long- term programmes FORTES offers work placements in local companies selected according to the participants’ CV, previous professional experience and knowledge of the Italian language, in accordance with the project objectives and the partner's requests. At the end of each training action, FORTES carries out an assessment of learning outcomes based on the European ECVET System and issues the Europass Mobility document. For short-term programmes FORTES can plan professional visits to companies, training centres, organisations and topical seminars during which participants can get a deeper knowledge of a specific sector. For each training project, FORTES provides also a wide range of tailor-made services such as: • logistical planning of the stay and practical support; • tutoring and monitoring during all the activities; • cultural activities in the Veneto Region; • Italian language courses given by teachers specialized in teaching Italian to foreigners and issuance of the Language Certification. FORTES is officially recognized as Center of CELI exams authorized by the Università per Stranieri di Perugia (certification of knowledge of the Italian language - University for Foreigners of Perugia). So far FORTES sent abroad 7500 interns and hosted more than 600 foreign students and teachers thanks to EU projects and funds.
