ETS PUBLIC D'INSERTION DE LA DEFENSE

EPIDE (Etablissement Pour l’Insertion Dans l’Emploi) is a non-profit public institution dedicated to supporting young adults without qualifications as they transition into the professional world. We work with individuals aged 17 to 25 who often come from vulnerable backgrounds. Our program addresses both social and professional needs, empowering participants (whom we call volunteers, as their participation is entirely voluntary) to build a stable future. Volunteers typically stay with us for an initial period of eight months, which can be renewed up to four times. Our participants have few or no qualifications. The average age is 19, 33% are women and 40% come from underprivileged urban areas. They live on-site during the week, following a structured and supportive routine.
The four main axes led by EPIDE are :
- A personalized education : refresher courses of French and mathematics, technology classes, sports activities, preparation for the driving theory exam and support in obtaining a driving licence.
- A personalized following of their professional project : creating résumés and cover letters, internship searches, awareness of workplace rights and responsibilities, development of soft skills. Company visits are also organized regularly.
- A Civic education and life skills : guidance on community living, citizenship values, personal responsibility, budgeting, administrative tasks and self-confidence.
- Social and health support : access to healthcare and a monthly allowance.

Looking for Spanish Partners !
We are a public institution of professional integration of young vulnerable adults (www.epide.fr) based in Bordeaux, France. We are actively seeking a collaboration with Spanish adult centers (Centros para adultos) or language schools (Escuelas de idiomas) for a one-week mobility project in November 2025, funded by the Erasmus+ program.
Our objectives for this first mobility are to explore a new country, its culture, discover its language, gain exposure to new professional environments and practices, acquire new skills and perspectives for both the volunteers and the staff.
