Escuela Oficial de Idiomas nº 1, Zaragoza is a state-run language school which offers courses at A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2 and C-1 levels of the Council of Europe, and an examination centre for the Government of Aragon, which issues certificates at A-2, B-1, B2 and C-1 levels, both for our internal students and for external candidates.  The English Department also offers distance courses. We are part of a nation-wide network of public language schools in Spain.

Our students are adults, aged 16 to 70, there are many university and advanced vocational students, professionals (teachers, nurses, doctors, police officers, military personnel, secretaries, shop assistants, industrial and service workers etc), housewives, unemployed workers, pensioners and early-retired professionals. 

Our methodology is communicative, we offer practice in the four skills (plus mediation), but special attention is paid to the development of oral skills.  The school offers a number of cultural activities throughout the year, we have a school library and media centre, specialized in foreign languages, and a cafeteria.
