Eastern Anatolia Development Agency (EADA) was established by the council of ministers decision, numbered 2008/14306 and dated 22 November 2008, on the basis of “Establishment, Coordination and Missions of Develeopment Agencies” law dated 25.01.2006 and numbered 5449.
Development Agencies in Turkey, began to be established since 2006, in accordance with the national development plan to accelerate regional development, ensure sustainability, reduce the inter-regional and intra-regional disparities in the 26 region.
Eastern Anatolia Development Agency was founded as public body in 2009 and serves in TRB2 Region (that is consist of Bitlis, Muş, Hakkari and Van provinces) that of socio-economically most disadvantaged region of Turkey.
EADA is an public organization that operates in the TRB2 Region that consists of Bitlis, Muş, Hakkari and Van provinces to improve coordination and cooperation among public sector, private sector and non-governmental organizations, to accelerate regional development by providing in-place and effective use of regional resouces in accordance with principles and policies predicted in national plan and programmes, to ensure sustainable development and reduce interregional and in-zone developmental differences.
The decision-making body of the DAKA in the organizational structure is the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors consists of 15 members, including the governors of the four provinces (Bitlis, Hakkâri, Muş, Van), mayors, provincial presidents of parliament and the heads of chambers of commerce and industry.
The advisory body of the Agency is the Development Board. For the regional development goal; Developent board is created in order to improve cooperation between the public institutions and organizations , private sector, non-governmental organizations, universities and local governments in the region and to direct the agency.
The executive body of the Agency is the General Secretariat.
There are 6 units in DAKA. These units; Planning, Programming and Coordination Unit, Program Management Unit, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, Administrative and Financial Affairs Unit, External Relations and Funds Unit, Investment Support Offices. Units are managed by unit heads, coordinators of investment support offices. Now DAKA employs 1 general secretary, 1 legal counsel, 33 experts (including 5 unit heads and 4 coordinators) and 6 support staff.
The Development Board is represented by a total of 98 organizations with 100 members.

Our mission is to provide sustainable development in TRB2 region (Bitlis, Hakkari, Muş and Van) by prompting local potentials, resources and oppoutinities with a participative approach.
