El CFPA (Centro de Formación de Personas Adultas) Arco Iris, con sedes en Villena y Sax (Alicante, Comunitat Valenciana, España) es una escuela pública perteneciente a la red de centros educativos de la Generalitat Valenciana. Tiene por objetivo la formación para toda la vida y acepta alumnos desde los 18 años, y alumnos de 16 y 17 años en determinadas circunstancias. Como todos los centros FPA, ofrece diversos programas o itinerarios formativos. Uno de ellos conduce a la obtención del título de ESO (Enseñanza Secundaria Obligatoria), que es el mismo que obtiene el alumnado que ha cursado Secundaria en un instituto de educación secundaria, mientras que la variedad es la característica más notable del resto de los itinerarios: el centro intenta con ellos responder a las necesidades formativas del área en el que se inserta, y así ofrece cursos de alfabetización, de español para extranjeros, de lengua catalana, de lengua inglesa, de acceso a la universidad para mayores de 25 años y a formación profesional superior.

La acción educativa que desarrolla el CFPA Arco Iris se justifica en el convencimiento de que su aportación a la sociedad -a la cual sirve y de la cual obtiene recursos- es algo más que la mera transmisión de conocimientos. El equipo de trabajadores del centro entiende que la función de la escuela de adultos debe ser la de vertebrar en su área de trabajo la educación a lo largo de la vida. Debe, por lo tanto, estar atenta a las necesidades educativas de la población y asumir el papel de entidad orientadora. Todo ello, claro está, dentro de sus posibilidades materiales y en colaboración con otras entidades locales.

Se trata de un centro que cuenta con un total de 10 profesores/as repartidos entre sus dos sedes, sienda la de Villena la que cuenta con la mayor cantidad de profesorado y alumando.

The CFPA (for the Spanish words meaning Training Center for Adults) Arco Iris, with offices both in Villena and Sax (Alicante, Valencian Community, Spain) is a public school belonging to the network of educational centers of the Generalitat Valenciana. Its objective is lifelong learning and accepts students from 18 years old, and students from 16 and 17 years old in certain circumstances. Like all FPA centers, it offers various training programs or itineraries. One of them leads to obtaining the title of ESO (for the Spanish words meaning Compulsory Secondary Education). "Variety" could be the most notable feature of the rest of the itineraries. The center tries with them to respond to the educational needs of the population in the area in which it is inserted, and thus offers courses in basic literacy, Spanish for foreigners, Catalan, English, access to university for over-25 years old students and to upper vocational training.

The educational action carried out by the CFPA Arco Iris finds its justification in the conviction that its contribution to society -which it serves and from which it obtains resources- is more than the mere transmission of curricular contents. The team of workers at the center understands that the function of the adult school must be to become a referent point for lifelong learning in its region. It must, therefore, be attentive to the educational needs of the population and assume the role of guiding entity. All this, of course, within its material possibilities and in collaboration with other local entities.

Its team members include a total of 10 teachers distributed between its two locations, the one in Villena which has the largest number of teachers and students.
