Yıldırım District is one of the most densely populated districts of the Bursa city, with a population of 654,491 according to 2024 data. Yıldırım is a residential area located on the slopes of Uludağ and spreading towards the Bursa Plain. There are 71 neighborhoods in Yıldırım. Yıldırım Municipality was established as a central district on 18.06.1987 when Bursa province was included in the metropolitan municipality.
