ASEV is a mixed public private capital Development Agency, crated by the municipalities and social partners of Empolese Valdelsa district (near to Florence- Italy), in order to promote economic, cultural and social development of the area.

Its activities, that so far have involved more than 10.000 people, include also planning and managing VET courses and activities and events for people, enterprises, associations, public or private bodies; services to promote employment in collaboration with PES; cooperation with local school in education activities and teachers' training; promotion of innovation and sustainable development in the area.

ASEV also manages

• An Intercultural Centre organizing activities and welcoming projects for migrants:

Courses of Italian as second language for migrants - nearly 800 people of 30 nationalities attended the courses. 40 courses of 40 hours each.

Intercultural training courses for teachers

Courses in native languages - 50 Chinese children and 40 Arab children involved

Welcoming projects for migrants and refugees

Field research on immigration

Mediation of intercultural conflicts.

Linguistic and cultural mediation for children of primary and secondary schools - 1.000 hours of linguistic assistance and counselling services to students and their families.

Linguistic and cultural support to unemployed migrants looking for a job - Albanian, Romanian, Chinese, Arab, 2000 hours of activity.

ASEV is also managing an Accommodation Centre for asylum seeker refugees. At moment 35 asylum seekers are hosted in montespertoli.

• To make concreteness of its own mission, ASEV has been conducting a connection role between supply and demand of innovation, service and research, by setting up itself as a pivot amongst local enterprises and innovation centres in Tuscany.  It manages a Regional Innovation Centre, involving hundreds of companies and carrying out research programs, workshops and conferences on innovation themes, forstering economic growth of economic tissue. ASEV accomplishes a plurality of others activities addressed to foster support, growth and economic and social development of Empolese Valdelsa area by using competences and experiences built in various fields. ASEV provides products and high quality know how aimed to an effective management of many enterprises issues and local governance.
