2 ESP EPAL Peiraia (PIC 943023525 – ID E10078912) is a public evening vocational high school situated in Piraeus – Athens/Greece. The school's director is Mrs. Konstantina Babi. 950 students are registered this year and 72 teachers are employed.

We offer education and specialisation in the fields of Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Eng/ring, Construction Eng/ring, G.I.S., Maritime Professions, Garment Production & Fashion Design, Assistant Pharmacists and Nurses, Hairdressing, Agriculture & Food Technology.

Profile of learners:  adults (99%), age from 18 to 60, average age 38, male and female, in search of employment or change of career. Mostly people with fewer opportunities, lack of support and low knowledge background. Most of them have dropped out school in a younger age and now are coming back for a second chance in education and to obtain a professional specialisation. A large number faces unemployment, part-time jobs, uninsured work and difficult family conditions (divorced, single parent families, working parents). We also have to notice that 15% are foreigners, coming from Albania, Romania, Russia and other countries.

Profile of staff: All have a university degree and a large number has also a variety of other academic qualifications (second university degree, master, PhD, knowledge of foreign languages etc). Most have professional experience in their field of expertise, experience in teaching and in NT. Amongst them there is an increasing interest in new training skills and in establishing and developing a dynamic European network for self-improvement and upgrading the school's environment in order to support efficiently the learners to achieve their goals.

1. 2016 - 2017: 15 days training programme in Spain for 12 learners (Assistant Pharmacists) and 15 days training programme in Italy for 12 learners (Maritime Profession Specialty).
