FITskilling round table: Solving skills shortage creatively - Project page #FAFO

Brief description
There is a shortage of skilled labour in Germany and Europe, but vacancies are not being filled even though skilled workers from third countries are available.
Time is of the essence for adult educators from all EU countries, education policymakers and human resources managers to come together to find a solution!
We invite you to participate in the project: "FITskilling round table: creatively solving the skills shortage".
Get involved with questions and ideas, learn from others, use the diverse online resources on FLOWCAMPUS and find creative educational solutions in dialogue with other educational stakeholders to reduce the shortage of skilled workers.
The programme at a glance
The project "Fast Forward Fachkräfte 4.0 - Round Table FITSkilling", hashtag #FAFO, starts with an outline of the problem, in which you can find out about the current situation via video: Demographic change - challenges and opportunities for Europe! You will also find out how professional recognition works in Europe, how it is implemented in European countries and learn about the reasons that make recognition difficult.
The ÖJAB competence centre offers an alternative approach. Sebastian Frank, who introduces ÖJAB and its activities and competence centre, explains how this model works and how the idea came about to train specialists himself. In interviews, you will receive first-hand information from employees and participants who report on how ÖJAB advises people with a migration background and helps them with the recognition of skills.
For a better understanding, we have prepared the status quo of vocational skills debates in a systematic and easily understandable way, with the different procedures for European skills assessment and present national "hacks" for recognising informal skills within the framework of the European Guidelines for the validation of non-formal and informal learning. We also address the future skills debate(s), shed light on the term and identify points of criticism of future skills concepts. In addition, Dr Anja C. Wagner presents her "Digital Intelligence of Society (DQ)" approach as an alternative that makes it possible to assess the digital skills of different population groups and distribute support accordingly.
