Third Working Meeting within the EAAL Project

The third working meeting within the European Agenda for Adult Learning (EAAL) project was held in Banja Luka on September 22, 2025. As part of the two-year EAAL project activities, the goal is to improve the quality assurance system in adult education through a better understanding of evaluation processes.
This time, the lecturers came from the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education of the Republic Croatia – Mario Vučić, Assistant Director, and Antonija Merdžan, Head of the Department for External Evaluation. They shared experiences related to establishing quality assurance in Croatia, piloting models of self-evaluation and external evaluation. The meeting also covered discussions on the legal framework, protocols, code of ethics, preparation and planning, and the use of results from the external evaluation of institutions.
The Director of the Pedagogical Institute of Zenica, Aida Salkić, presented the work of the Institute and, through examples of good practice, shared current developments. Numerous topics were addressed: legislation, adult education providers, formal adult education programs, formats and duration of programs, teacher profiles and qualifications, and more.
