The Smart for Democracy and Diversity Compendium published.
Based on desk research, national reports and interviews with persons who have experienced hate speech, the SDD Compemdium "Experiencing Hate Speech: Responses, Coping Strategies & Interventions" has now been published.
Since most of the available applied and academic research about hate speech / crimes focuses on the perpetrators' perspective, this Compendium rather emphasizes the ones of individuals affected by hate crimes. By analyzing real cases, it shows concrete options for action, not only for the so-called "victims", but also for witnesses and it includes policy recommendations to improve current national and EU-wide trends.
The Compendium is a deliverable of the Erasmus+ support SDD project and is available in English, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Portuguese on https://sdd-game.eu/publications/
