An open call for career guidance and counseling activities submission for a supplemented edition of the CG&C Handbook and Activity Database
The Euroguidance center of the European Career Guidance and Counseling Network has a great pleasure to invite all those that design and implement career guidance and counseling activities – the CG&C activity authors, to submit their activities as a part of the supplemented edition of the ‘’Career Guidance and Counseling’’ Handbook and the CG&C Activity Database.
The aim of this call is to recognize and present the CG&C activities that have already been successfully implemented in schools and other educational institutions so they can serve as guidance for teachers and trainers to implement these activities as well. This ’’from a practitioner to a practitioner’’ approach ensures the applicability of presented activities while respecting the specifics of the institutional environment and the needs of students, young people, and adults in our educational system. This call is a continuation of our previous Euroguidance center activities where we invited people to submit activities for ‘’Career guidance and counseling – a handbook for high school teachers’’ from 2014, ‘’Career guidance and counseling – a handbook for primary and high school teachers’’ from 2019 and CG&C Activity Database. Even though the goal of this initiative is to encourage the exchange of good practices among teachers, and as such has a non-commercial and non-competitive nature, three activities that fulfill the requirements most successfully, as judged by the Commission, will be ceremonially announced during the National Annual Euroguidance Conference.
You can submit activities aimed at:
- improving career management skills among adults: participants in functional primary adult education and adults older than 30
- improving career management skills among young people (aged 15 to 30)
- improving career management skills among students, young people and adults from vulnerable groups
- activities whose goal is to support informing parents of primary and high school students about career development and ways in which they can support their children
You can also submit activities for primary and high school students aimed at improving career management skills in these areas:
- self-assessment of personal characteristics and ways for their presentation
- seeking and evaluating information about work and education
Submitting CG&C activities for the database and the handbook has just begun and it will be possible until July 15, 2020, it is done by filling out the application form. For more information about other conditions of this open call, click here.
