There are 754 original pieces that belong to the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries among museum’s original inventory records in our museum located in İstanbul Beylerbeyi Sabancı Olgunlaşma Institute.

A bridal gown and traditional wedding garment called bindallı which is generally made of dark red velvet, jacket, dovery covers, ornamented with Maraş işi, (a traditional hand embroidery technique that gold threads are used) ornamented covers that are decorated with tel kırma (a traditional hand embroidery technique that gold wires are broken) and tel sarma (a traditional hand embroidery technique that gold wires are wrapping) a special coffee service cover decorated with sewing gold paillette, silk headscarves that lined with point lace, boleros and triskirts (skirts with three parts) that are made with a special traditional technique with bonding strings, Türk işi silk covers, towels, a bridegroom shaving cover, and a bridal gown and a henna ceremony dress of Semiha Şakir who was a very important philanthropist that passed away in 1998, leaving various schools, hospitals, libraries and a lot of facilities behind. As the spouse of the Prince of Lebanon, her special bridal gown that she wore in 1923 which is full of beads and paillettes with a long tail donated to our institute by her family.

The museum of  Beylerbeyi Sabancı Olgunlaşma Enstitüsü can be visited for free from Monday to Saturday between 09:00 am to 16:00.
